Scientists have determined the periods of maximum activity of human physiological aging

Scientists from the research center of Alzheimer's disease at Stanford University (USA) have found that the concentration of certain proteins in the blood can serve as an indicator of human age. To study this phenomenon, scientists attracted 4263 participants between the ages of 18 and 95.

After a blood test, the researchers have studied plasma proteins and found that physiological aging occurs differently, existing with an unexpected trajectory, but with fixed points for 34, 60 and 78 years - which corresponds to the peaks of youth, late and elderly, respectively. At these age points, the concentration of certain proteins in the blood increases or decreases.

In addition, scientists have found that aging in men and women is different. Since 1379 studied proteins that change most with age, 895 were more effective at precisely the age of men.

The study also revealed cases of differences in the "passport" age of participants and physiological age, which was distinguished by scientists.
