Ukraine faces a serious problem with staff shortages, which can lead to a significant decrease in production and adversely affect the entire economy of the country. This was reported by Bloomberg, referring to the study of the Kiev Institute of Economic Research and Political Consultations.
According to a survey conducted by the Kyiv Institute of Economic Research and Political Consultations early this year, this problem ranks second after increasing the costs of Ukrainian companies. About half of the respondents noted that they were experiencing staff shortages.
“The scarcity of the personnel has become one of the main problems of business, because the search for work is taking more and more energy from managers. During the war, wages exceeded the Russian invasion in February 2022. The law on mobilization, which came into force last month, aims to replenish the ranks of the Ukrainian army by hundreds of thousands of servicemen. However, the lack of able -bodied men and women is a blow to large and small businesses that are the basis of wartime economy, ”the newspaper writes.
Bloomberg is forecast, this problem will only be exacerbated, as the Russian invasion has been going on for the third year. And Ukraine will be forced to fill the gap left by millions of people who left the country, went into the army or died in battle.
