The Government of the Netherlands has made an important decision to introduce 65 million euros to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine. These funds will help restore the country's energy infrastructure that has suffered from regular attacks by Russian troops. This decision was announced during a meeting of the Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine Roman Andarak with a special representative of the Netherlands government Erica Sholten, held in Ukraine.
The Netherlands continue to support Ukraine in Russian aggression, and energy remains one of the priority areas of this assistance. In particular, according to Erica Sholten, the Netherlands government will continue to assist Ukraine in all aspects concerning energy security and restoration of energy capacity.
One of the main topics of discussion was the constant strengthening of Russian attacks on the Ukrainian fuel and energy sector, in particular on the gas industry. This has led to serious damage that require urgent measures to repair and restore infrastructure. As part of assistance to Ukraine, the Netherlands has already provided a considerable amount of power equipment, including 211 cargoes of energy devices with a total weight of almost 3 thousand tons.
