The Netherlands announced the accelerated allocation of EUR 3.5 billion assistance for Ukraine. Of this amount, 2 billion euros will come this year, not in 2025, as previously planned. This was announced by the Dick Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Shoiof following the meeting of European leaders in Paris, France24 reports.
Skhof noted that negotiations concerned not only security and peace in Ukraine, but also stability of all Europe, including the Netherlands.
"One thing can be said for sure: Ukraine can continue to count on our support. We will keep a stable course. Strong, modern and strong armed forces of Ukraine are the most important guarantee of security and peace," he wrote on the social network X.
- The Netherlands's decision is part of the broader European initiative to strengthen Ukraine's military and financial support.
- Accelerated financing will allow Ukraine to get the necessary weapons and resources for defense and recovery faster.
