Germany continues to support Ukraine in the fight against Russia's aggression, announcing the transfer of Ukraine another 20 units of modernized infantry fighting vehicles (BMP) MARDER 1A3. According to the information provided by the Defense Post, the supply of equipment will take place in the first half of 2025.
These BMPs are equipped with modern laser rangefinders, which significantly increases their accuracy in the defeat of goals. This will allow the Ukrainian military to significantly improve their combat efficiency in the forefront. This party is part of the previously planned deliveries, and Germany will provide financing of the operation, which is estimated at tens of millions of euros.
Since the beginning of the war, Germany has already transferred more than one hundred units of Marder BMP to Ukraine, and thanks to a well -established cooperation with the RheinMetall concern, a special center for maintenance and repair of this equipment in Ukraine has been established. This provides proper maintenance and support for the combat capability of the transmitted equipment, which is an important element for its efficient operation in the conditions of active fighting.
