Germany fears involvement in the war in Ukraine

A recent survey conducted by the Digital Society Institute found that a majority of Germans are concerned about the possibility of Germany being drawn into a war in Ukraine. According to the survey, 41% of respondents oppose increasing support for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The majority of surveyed Germans (67%) are dissatisfied with the policy of the Scholz government towards Ukraine, which is at war.

Only 11% of voters are satisfied.

68% of those polled said they were "concerned" or "very concerned" that Germany might find itself directly involved in a war in Europe in the coming years.

32% of respondents said that they would like "much stronger" support for Ukraine from the EU, 41% - against.

It should be noted that parties opposing aid to Ukraine and in favor of negotiations with the Russian Federation have recently gained weight in domestic German elections.
