New Mail has been licensed to supply electricity

Nova-Energy, which is a member of the Nova Poshta group, has been licensed for electricity supply. This is an important step for a company that actively develops energy autonomy of its facilities and plans to ensure stability and independence in the energy sphere.

The electricity license was issued by the National Commission for State Regulation in the field of energy and utilities on March 4, 2025. In addition, Nova Mail invests in the installation of electricity storage systems (UZE). These installations will allow you to store the accumulated energy and put it on the network as needed, which will allow stable energy to be provided for enterprises of the company and even for an external network.

In 2024, Nova Poshta announced the creation of a new energy company Nova-Energy, which will be engaged in regular generation of electricity, in particular thanks to solar and gas installations. The purpose of this project is to ensure energy autonomy for the company, as well as to ensure its stability of its infrastructure in case of any interruptions in the supply of energy.

Already in September 2024, the company launched a small -scale sales of diesel fuel in the open market, in particular for Ukrainian agricultural enterprises. Earlier, Nova Poshta provided only their own need for fuel to refuel vehicles and generators.

In early January 2025, the company implemented an ambitious project on the roof of one of the Kiev terminals, where a solar power plant with a capacity of 1 MW was installed. The cost of this project was UAH 14 million, and the expected payback is 3 years. On March 3, 2025, at another Kiev terminal, Nova Poshta launched a second solar power plant with a capacity of 700 kW, the cost of which was UAH 13.5 million. The company noted that these power plants will operate at full capacity in the summer and will be able to cover 100% of the needs of terminals for electricity during the day.

In the future, Nova Mail plans to expand solar power plants and installations for storing electricity at its largest terminals throughout Ukraine. The company has already launched this process on three terminals, and in general plans to set capacity on five large objects. In recent years, the company has invested 300 million hryvnias in energy autonomy, and is planning to spend another 150 million this year.
