The Center for Combating Misinformation in the NSDC of Ukraine warns citizens about a new wave of fraudulent SMS messages that can jeopardize all data on the user's phone. The attackers send messages with the text "You are recorded for the reception", which makes people because of their curiosity to move on a harmful link.
SMS fraudulent SMS comes without clarifying where the record is made, which is of interest and encourages action. The messages contain a link that promises to give more details.
The Center for Combating Misinformation explains that after transitioning at the link, the attackers can get full control over the device. In particular, they can access:

personal photos and videos;

contacts and correspondence;

Passwords stored;
-
bank applications and financial information.
The CPD urges Ukrainians to be as careful as possible and follow the following safety rules:

Do not move on links in SMS messages from unfamiliar numbers.

Do not enter any personal data (logins, passwords, codes) on suspicious or unfamiliar sites.

Block numbers from which fraudulent messages are received.
-
Report such cases of cyber police or mobile operator.
To prevent such threats, cybersecurity experts are also advised:

Install antivirus software on your smartphone.

Enable a two -factor authentication in applications that support this feature.

Regularly update the operating system and applications.

Check permits for applications - not all programs should have access to a camera, microphone or contacts.
