France continues to actively support Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity. The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, announced the agreement with the French President, Emmanuel Macron, regarding the training of an additional brigade for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"France has already prepared one of the brigades for the Armed Forces and will soon prepare another one. I thanked France for training one brigade for our army, we agreed to continue this cooperation and train another brigade," Zelensky wrote after the meeting with Macron.
The President of Ukraine also expressed hope that other international partners will join such training programs and contribute to the staffing of additional Ukrainian brigades. Such support is extremely important for Ukraine in the conditions of military confrontation.
In addition to issues of military training, the leaders discussed President Macron's initiative regarding the presence of forces in Ukraine that can contribute to stabilization on the way to peace. This confirms the determination of both countries to work on ensuring peace and security in the region.
The interaction between Ukraine and France demonstrates not only the strength of international support, but also a common understanding of the importance of strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities to ensure stability and peace in Europe.
