Having received a new position of an X-ray scanner operator, Ethan gets into a dangerous situation when he receives a mysterious call and an order to pass a suitcase with a Novichok-7 nerve substance on a plane.
The film immediately attracted the attention of critics, collecting 85% of the approving reviews from the audience on Rotten Tomatoes. However, the opinions of film critics were divided. Some compare the "manual luggage" with the classic fighter "Strong nut", noting the similarity of the plot and a tense atmosphere. However, there are those who believe that the film failed to reach the same level as its predecessors in the genre. Romi Norton from Film Focus Online emphasizes that although the film offers familiar fighters - action in one place (airport), the threat of a terrorist act and unexpected turns, it still attracts a rapid pace and ease of viewing. Norton believes that "manual luggage" can be watched several times if you look for an entertainment fighter for holidays.
Glenn Kenny from the New York Times notes that the movie does not hide its Christmas ambitions and tries to create a stress in the style of "strong nut". However, he acknowledges that the picture does not open new genre standards, although it has several impressive scenes, such as an intense fight in the car.
