Ukrzaliznytsia announced the presentation of a new schedule of train movement for 2024, which lists 14 new routes, of which 11 domestic and 3 international. In addition, the improvement of 19 existing routes in Ukraine and abroad is envisaged, as well as new connections for regional transportation.
The chairman of the board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Yevhen Lyashchenko noted that passenger transportation is a key direction of the company, and they are constantly developing, adding new trains, updating the transport warehouse and providing additional services. The new season will bring with it new international routes, such as Dnipro - Helm, Chop - Vienna and Chop - Prague.
Given the feedback of the passengers who came through the mobile application of the UZ, the new schedule was designed with the wishes of users. Lyashchenko noted that the company focuses on improving the most scarce routes, including international and mountain, to strengthen the connection between all regions. He also stressed that the volumes of passengers have already returned to the level of 2021, and the development of international connection and the opening of new routes in Ukraine is strategically important for maintaining connection between regions.
