In the coming days, the state budget of Ukraine will receive significant funds for social and humanitarian programs that are not related to security or defense. The grant consists of $1.35 billion provided by the United States government and €10.8 million from a multi-donor fund.
These funds will go to support key expenditures within the framework of the project "Supporting public expenditures to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine" (PEACE in Ukraine).
Minister of Finance of Ukraine Serhii Marchenko noted that since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the PEACE in Ukraine project has already provided the state budget of Ukraine with almost $28 billion and over 1.4 billion euros of support. Raised funds should become an important resource for solving urgent social and humanitarian needs of Ukrainian citizens.
