The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has implemented a revolutionary approach to military accounting, simplifying the process of menning men aged 16-25 years on military accounting. Due to the launch of the Oberig Register, men no longer need to contact the territorial centers of staff.
The new approach is based on automation, which was made possible by the integration of the Oberig Register with: the only demographic register, bases of the State Migration Service.
This allows you to automatically enter data on men of conscription age to the system without their participation. In addition, the register covers men under 60 who have previously avoided registration. Convenience: men no longer need to personally visit the staff centers. Transparency: The state receives a complete picture of the conscripts. Efficiency: The registry allows you to establish faster processes that plan to consolidate legislatively.
At the stage of automatic registration, medical examination is optional. The procedure is limited only to entering the registry data. Although the system looks promising, it can cause legal conflicts: citizens may not know about entering them in the register. Data privacy issues and information require additional settlement. Kateryna Chernororenko, Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization, explained that the registry is still working in an experimental format. Its launch will be the basis for future changes in legislation that will improve the accounting process.
Automation makes it impossible to evade registration but does not release men from further military duties. Upon entering the register, the citizen remains responsible for the passage of other procedures stipulated by the legislation
