In Hungary, after two years, a new Ambassador of Ukraine - Fedor Sandor - began work. On February 28, he handed over copies of the Word Certificates to the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, which was the first step to start his duties as the head of the Ukrainian Embassy in Budapest. A further step involves the presentation of the certificates of Hungarian President Tomash Shuook.
The Embassy has said that this message will open up new opportunities for the development of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations. Fyodor Sandor is a professor of Uzhgorod National University, and is often called "professor from trenches" in the network, because in breaks between combat duty he lectured for his students.
Before his appointment, Shandor was actively engaged in political activity. In 2020 he was elected a deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council from the party "Servant of the People", where he worked as the deputy chairman of the commission on cross -border cooperation and tourism development. He also ran for Uzhgorod City Council, but was not elected at that time.
Sandor has experience in working with people's deputies and distinguished himself as an active public figure, who made him an important figure on the Ukrainian political and diplomatic front.
