As a result of the night attack of the invaders in the Central Region of Ukraine, the main air transmission lines of Ukrenergo and the power line of the Oblenergo were damaged. This has led to a decrease in reliability of energy supply in the region, and energy companies have launched emergency restoration work to eliminate failures.
The Ukrenergo press service confirms that repair crews, together with their colleagues, are already actively working to restore damaged infrastructure. However, temporary restrictions on electricity supply in Kyiv and Kyiv region may be possible during these works.
"Our repair crews, together with colleagues, have already started emergency restoration work. In the period of renewable work, energy supply restrictions in Kyiv and Kyiv region are possible," Ukrenergo said.
In their call to citizens, energy emphasized the importance of saving electricity and abstaining from network overload. In particular, in the face of possible restrictions, Ukrenergo management advises citizens to use electrical appliances and contact energy saving measures to ensure energy stability.
This attack on energy infrastructure in the Central Region becomes part of the larger context of military events and aggression by the occupiers, which affects the normal functioning of vital services and infrastructure in Ukraine.
