The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the appointment of Alexei Chernyshov with 237 votes for the post of Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine-Minister of National Unity. His candidacy was recommended by the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, Deoccupation, Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories, National Minorities and International Relations.
The creation of the Ministry of National Unity is part of the government's efforts to unite society, especially in war and post -war recovery. The agency is expected to be engaged in the following areas:
- Reintegration of temporarily occupied territories: coordination of efforts to return these territories under the control of Ukraine and ensure their development.
- Supporting national minorities: ensuring the rights of ethnic and cultural communities.
- Counteraction to internal split: resolving social, linguistic and religious issues to prevent conflicts.
- Formation of unity policy: work on legislative initiatives aimed at enhancing national cohesion.
Alexei Chernyshov has many years of experience in public administration. Earlier, he held the post of Minister of Community Development and Territories of Ukraine, where he has proven himself as a specialist in the implementation of reforms and regional development management. Its key purpose in the new position is the consolidation of Ukrainian society around common values and goals.
The appointment of Chernyshov received both approving reviews and reservations. Experts emphasize that the success of his work will depend on coordination with other agencies, especially in the conditions of post -war reconstruction of the country.
