The heating season in Kryvyi Rih is under threat due to mobilization

In Kryvyi Rih, there can be serious problems with the beginning of the heating season. According to the local municipal enterprise Kryvorizhteplocentral, about a thousand houses remain without heating and hunger in the city. The situation is difficult, but the city is taking steps to correct the situation, hoping to complete the heating connection by December 8, 2024.

One of the main reasons for the delay is the lack of skilled workers. Mobilization has led to many experienced professionals left their jobs. Difficulties with personnel are felt by contracting organizations that are involved in repair work on the heating networks. In addition to personnel problems, the company faces a number of technical difficulties. In particular, the arrest of the Kryvyi Rih TPP accounts due to multimillion -dollar debts in March 2024 delayed the beginning of repair work. This further complicated the situation where the company was unable to carry out the necessary work in a timely manner to ensure a stable heat supply.

Another important problem that affects the quality of consumer service is infrastructure damage due to hostilities. In particular, due to the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station in the summer of 2023, the thermal networks of the city lost access to water, which led to corrosion of pipes that were already in poor condition. At the same time, firing of critical infrastructure leads to water hawks that destroy damaged pipes, which complicates the repair and start of heating. Despite all the difficulties, representatives of the enterprise assure that Kryvyi Rih TPP works around the clock, taking all the necessary measures to provide the warmth of the city residents. The plans are to complete the heating connection to all consumers by December 8, 2024. However, the situation will remain tense until then.

The heating season in Kryvyi Rih was threatened because of the personnel problems and the consequences of hostilities, but local authorities and utilities are working to restore heat supply in the city.
