The Parliament of Ukraine has recently passed a bill that regulates the issues of land schemes and alienation of land. The new rule stipulates that in the event of a return of the site to the state or community, if the alienation occurred no more than 10 years ago, the owners will receive compensation at the market value of this land. However, there is an important nuance: no compensation for the loss of state and territorial communities in the event of such returns is not provided.
The participants of the movement honestly expressed anxiety about this, indicating that this approach can have serious consequences for the state. At the same time, the bill provides several important exceptions, including strategic land, critical infrastructure, environmental areas and cultural heritage objects. But, according to experts, these exceptions can complicate or even prevent the process of returning such land.
The new law aims to streamline land relations, but leaves many questions about possible manipulations with land. As it will affect the real sector, only time will be able.
