Contrary to expectations, the new ambassador of Ukraine in Moldova was not Alexei Danilov, but an experienced diplomat Pow Rogov. The relevant decree was signed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the document was published on the official website of the Head of State.
Pow Rogovei has considerable experience in diplomatic institutions of Ukraine. From 2020 he held the position of a temporary attorney for Ukraine in Romania. His career in diplomacy began in 2000, when he started working at the Embassy of Ukraine in Romania.
It is worth noting that Rogov already has experience in Moldova: in 2012-2017 he was an adviser at the Embassy of Ukraine in Chisinau. His return to this country as an ambassador can promote diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Moldova.
The appointment of a new ambassador took place against the backdrop of Alexei Danilov's possible candidacy, but the choice fell on a professional diplomat with many years of experience in the region.
