Pentagon begins mass release

The US Department of Defense is planning to reduce from 50 to 60 thousand civilian jobs, a third of whose employees have already resigned at will. On Tuesday, March 18, reports Independent with reference to a high -ranking defense official.

The release in the Pentagon will be held within the framework of the plan of the Department of Efficiency of Government (Doge), headed by Ilon Musk, to reduce staff and limit the recruitment of new employees.

According to the source, less than 21,000 workers who have gone at will will leave their posts in the coming months.

"To reduce the number of civilians by 5-8% of the total number of 900,000 people, the Pentagon plans to release about 6,000 people every month without holding their dismissed positions," the newspaper says.

It is noted that the military workers of the Ministry can transfer to vacant civilians, which can affect the combat capability of the US army, according to the media.
