The US Department of Defense stated that the North Korean military participation in hostilities against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk Oblast is not effective. This was announced by the Deputy US Defense Ministry spokesman Sabrina Singh during a briefing on Monday, December 30.
According to the Pentagon representative, the US defense department confirms the assessment of Presidential Administration Joe Biden on significant losses suffered by the DPRK soldiers in the region. "The White House has recently announced that about 1000 soldiers (DPRK) were killed or injured in the Kursk area. It is also our rating," Singh said.
The deputy spokesman also noted that attacks by the North Korean military in the Kursk region did not have a significant impact on the course of hostilities. "These forces are not much effective," she emphasized.
Singh added that the North Korean military continues to suffer significant losses in the region, which calls on their ability to influence the situation on the battlefield.
