In Transcarpathia, the installation of the first wind turbine "Ostrovsky" in the mountain village of Nizhny Gate, located on the border of Lviv and Transcarpathian regions, was completed. This was reported by Olga Postak, Deputy Director of Public Relations of Frendley Windechnologi LLC.
The windmill windmill has a single installed capacity of 4.8 MW, the height of the tower 120 m and a rotor diameter of 152 m. The project is implemented by the company "Wind Parks of Ukraine", which moved to Transcarpathia after a full -scale invasion of the East.
This wind energy project is the first of the planned ten wind turbines for installation. According to the technical characteristics, it was recognized as "medium -sized wind turbine" compared to other wind turbines in Ukraine.
As for the name "Ostrovsky", it is related to the initial planning of the location of the wind park in the village of Ostrov in Mykolaiv region. The project in the region was abolished due to a full -scale war.
The wind is not currently operating because it is not connected to the network. However, the total installed capacity of the planned wind power plant is 80 MW, which will provide electricity to 50 thousand households per year.
The company also stressed the social partnership, which provides for the referral of 3% of the revenue from the sale of electricity to the budget of the Nizhni River community. This is almost one and a half million hryvnias annually.
