Hungary stated that in the response of Ukraine to its 11 requirements for the rights of the Hungarians of Transcarpathia, there is no "construct", so the meeting of Zelensky and Orban is impossible.
The statement was made by the Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyarto.
He said that at a meeting in Uzhgorod with Kuleba and Yermak, he urged Kiev to return the Hungarian national rights that she had until 2015.
"We have given a document containing 11 points that are needed from the Ukrainian side so that this situation has advanced forward. We ask nothing more than the return of those rights that the Hungarians of Transcarpathia owned. Unfortunately, I must declare that the document in response received from the Ukrainian side does not contain any progress in this area,"
Budapest will send their official response to Kiev in the near future.
"Until Ukraine approves the laws that return the rights of the Hungarian national community, the conditions for meeting at the highest level cannot be fulfilled," Siyarto says.
