Without Russia and China at the negotiation table, it will be impossible to reach peaceful agreements on war in Ukraine. This statement was made by the President of the Czech Republic Peter Paul, Idnes.cz reports.
Peter Paul emphasized that China should take more responsibility for the peaceful arrangement of the world on the basis of rules, not the power of the army or economy. The President of the Czech Republic awaits a certain shift in the conflict at the end of this year or at the beginning of the next one. He explained that this would depend on the results of important elections in a number of key countries, the first of which will be the US presidential election. Another significant factor is the fatigue of war that affects both sides of the conflict.
"If this is probable, we will see that they will bring the next months. But it is necessary in any case," Pavel said, commenting on the recent statement of President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky that Russian officials should be present at the second world summit.
However, the Czech leader emphasized that negotiations would not have made sense if Russia approached them as it did before, putting forward the conditions of surrender of Ukraine. "But without Russia and China, there will be no real peace talks at the table," he summarized.
