In 2025, Ukrainians continue to look for ways to reduce electricity costs, especially those who heat electricity. Official mechanisms for economy really exist - from a preferential tariff to a night meter and subsidies. What you need to know to pay less - explains the head of the Utility Consumers Union Oleg Popenko.
Since June 2024, a new tariff has been operating: 4.32 UAH/kWh - a standard price for all consumers. But in the heating season (from October 1 to June 30) there is a reduced price - 2.64 UAH/kWh for those who use electricity as the sole source of heating. Monthly consumption should not exceed 2000 kWh. If it exceeds, you will have to pay the full cost.
To get a preferential rate, you need to formally give up district heating. Confirm this by an act or decision of the local council. Apply to the electricity supplier. In Kiev, it is, for example, DTEK. Provide documents: an application for submission of a distribution point in the passport. A copy of the power supply project (where the electric heating is visible). Document on commissioning (technical passport or other). Copies of passport, code, ownership document (apartment/house should be privatized). If you live in an apartment building, the documents are submitted by condominiums or management. Another saving option is a night tariff that allows you to pay half of the standard price at night (usually from 23:00 to 7:00). What you need: apply to the power company. Install a double -tariff counter. This is especially profitable for those who use appliances at night - for example, a washing machine, electric heating or a boiler. If utilities exceeds 15% of total family income, you are entitled to a state subsidy. It can significantly reduce the financial load, including electricity.
You can apply for a subsidy: through CNAP. On the website of the Ministry of Social Policy or "Action". Through social security management. Paying less than electricity is real. For this purpose it is necessary to use the mechanisms offered by the state: to issue a preferential tariff for electric heating. Connect the night tariff. Apply for a subsidy.
