North Korea is preparing for nuclear war

North Korea has a sufficient amount of plutonium and uranium to produce at least a few dozen nuclear warheads. This information was published by the South Korean legislator Lee Song Quven, referring to the data of the spying agency of the country, as Reuters reports.

In particular, the agency believes that the DPRK can conduct its seventh nuclear test after the US presidential election scheduled for November 5. This confirms the alarm of the international community about the further escalation of Pyongyang nuclear ambitions.

In July, the Federation of American scientists published a report stating that North Korea was most likely to produce a sufficient amount of split material to create up to 90 nuclear warheads, but the real number is estimated to be about 50.

Lee Sonng Kww noted that the North Korean state media rarely illuminate the visits of the leader Kim Jong -in to Uranium enrichment objects. This forces him to assume that a recent report published at the beginning of the month could have to send a signal to the US in the context of the presidential election.

"A visit report can also be aimed at maintaining the internal image of the authorities. In a difficult economic situation, it may be an attempt to inspire confidence in residents," the South Korean legislator emphasized.

In response to international comments in Pyongyang, they emphasize that their nuclear arsenal and ballistic missiles are necessary to counteract threats from the US and their allies.
