Las Vegas police are examining the explosion of Tesla Cybertruck car near Trump International as a suicide act. This was stated by Sheriff Las Vegas Kevin McMechill at a press conference on January 2, reports Washington Post.
According to the investigation, the driver of the car suffered a gunshot wound in the head before the explosion took place. One of the pistols lying at the wheel of the wheel was found in the car salon. This confirms the version that the explosion was deliberately arranged by the driver.
The sheriff also reported that due to severe body burn, it is impossible to identify the driver's person without additional investigative actions. However, there are numerous evidence that indicate that the driver was a 37-year-old serviceman Matthew Livelsberger from Colorado Springs. At the time of the incident, Livelsberger served in the special forces unit in Germany.
The event caused considerable public resonance as the explosion occurred near a well -known hotel, which is associated with Donald Trump. The investigation is currently ongoing and law enforcement agencies are working to establish all the details of this tragedy.
