Poland is considering the possibility of expelling Ukrainian men and its consequences

The Polish economy can be a victim if Poland decides to send Ukrainian men in connection with the perception of the threat from Russia.

"This can significantly affect the Polish economy, as thousands of Ukrainian citizens living in the country can be forced to leave their work and go into the army," Forbes reports.

Or, fearing the expulsion, they can leave Poland and move to another EU country.

The Deloitte report states that the contribution of Ukrainian refugees to Poland's GDP in 2023 will be 0.7-1.1%. And it is expected that in the long run this effect will increase to 0.9-1.35%.

Most Ukrainians in Poland are employed in sectors such as industrial production, transport services and construction.

Of the more than one million Ukrainians who have come to Poland since the beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion, 371,000 are men of conscript age.
