Polish Minister of Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysh in an interview with the Ukrainian service of "Voice of America" talked about Warsaw's position regarding the participation of the Polish military in military operations on the territory of Ukraine. According to him, at the moment Poland categorically excludes the possibility of deploying its armed forces in Ukraine. He emphasized that this issue should be resolved at the NATO level, and that Poland does not plan to send its troops into Ukraine until the peace process is completed.
Kosiniak-Kamysh also noted that so far no peace plan has been presented by the newly elected US President Donald Trump, which is causing a lot of speculation and discussion in the international arena. However, the minister noted that Poland does not exclude the possibility of changing its approach in the future, when a new stage of the peace process arrives. Warsaw takes the position that solving this issue cannot be a matter for several countries. NATO should remain the main platform for making such decisions, because it is the Alliance that is able to coordinate security efforts and provide the necessary support.
Thus, although Poland does not intend to intervene in the conflict at this stage, it leaves open the question of further steps depending on the development of the situation.
