In Poland, two citizens of Ukraine were detained, suspected of involvement in organizing the illegal crossing of the Polish-Belarusian border. About it reports the Podlasie Department of the Polish Border Service.
The detention of one of the Ukrainians took place on the A2 freeway in the Lodz Voivodeship, where he was detained by police officers from Nekhrova. The second suspect was detained in the city of Helen Gura.
Both were detained by the Bialystok District Prosecutor's Office of the organization of multiple intersections of the state border in violation of the legislation. On the basis of the materials collected in the case, the district court of Bialystok-South made a decision on a preventive measure for one of the Ukrainians in the form of temporary arrest for 3 months.
As for the second detainee, the court identified a preventive measure in the form of a ban from leaving the country and police supervision with the obligation to appear twice a week to the city police department.
According to the Criminal Code of Poland, the organization of illegal crossing of the border provides for imprisonment for a term of 6 months to 8 years.
