Polish response to the challenges of modern warfare

Poland is improving its defense, demonstrating the unique capabilities of the modernized Homar-K system. Thanks to the CGR-080 rocket, which has a range of up to 80 km, this reactive volley fire system exceeds similar Western developments, including American Himars with the M31 GMLRS rocket. The successful launch of this rocket marked a new stage in the development of the Polish army.

Homar-K is the result of cooperation between Polish and South Korean engineers. This adapted K239 Chunmoo is integrated on the Polish chassis Jelcz 8 × 8, which provides high mobility and adaptability to the field conditions. The system is multifunctional due to its modularity: it supports the use of a wide range of ammunition, including: CGR-080 (80 km) for point strokes; CTM-MR (50-160 km) to damage the fortified goals; CTM-290 (80-290 km) for strategic operations. This solution also involves the use of anti-ship missiles and training ammunition, making Homar-K a universal tool for various combat scenarios.

The main advantage of the CGR-080 rocket is its accuracy. The GPS/INS guidance system provides a probable circular error (CEP) only 15 meters. This allows you to destroy targets with minimal losses for civilian infrastructure and reduce ammunition costs. The rocket warhead is effective against living power, light armored equipment and infrastructure facilities.

The Himars American system is well established in many military conflicts, but Homar-K has a number of advantages, including shooting range: CGR-080 is able to impress targets 80 km, which is 10 km more than Himars with M31 GMLRS. Modularity: Homar-K maintains a wider range of ammunition, providing more options for tactical and strategic tasks. Nevertheless, Himars retains advantages due to global support, proven reliability and wider implementation.

Successful launching CGR-080 and improving the Homar-K system demonstrate Poland's desire to strengthen their defense capability and increase autonomy in the military sphere. These technologies increase not only national security, but also the role of Poland in NATO's collective defense.
