Robert Benton Classic Hollywood died that changed American cinema

At the age of 92, American director and screenwriter Robert Benton died-the winner of the Oscar. According to his assistant Marisa Forzano in a comment to The New York Times , Benton died on Sunday, May 11, in his home on Manhattan.

Robert Benton was born on September 29, 1932 in Dallas, Texas. He received a bachelor of fine arts at the University of Texas, and later studied at the University of Columbia. After his service in the army, he began his career in journalism and in the 1960s headed Esquire as the editor-in-chief.

Esquire , who created a number of sign works. Their breakthrough was the script for Bonnie and Clyid (1967), which brought them the nomination for Oscar. The tape was considered innovative due to the bold showing of violence and changing genre approaches in Hollywood.

Robert Benton's greatest glory was brought by Kramer's drama against Kramer (1979), which won several Oscar, including the best movie. Benton himself received awards for the best directing and script.

In 1984, he won the third statuette for the best original scenario to his own movie in his heart .

His last director's work was the drama of love (2007), in which Morgan Frmen played the main role.

Benton left a great creative heritage that significantly influenced the American cinema of the second half of the twentieth century.
