The US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, which is completing its diplomatic mission, addressed the Ukrainians with a farewell video. In it, she summed up the work of the American diplomatic team in Ukraine from the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia in 2022.
In the address published on the US Embassy page on Facebook on April 21, Brinka mentioned her first days in office:
"I remember May 2022 and remember how I came to the country that was in existential struggle for survival. In those first days the mission was simple: to help Ukraine to stay free."
According to her, over the last three years, the United States, together with Ukrainian partners, has implemented a number of important initiatives. Among the key areas is the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the liberation of the occupied territories, ensuring the stability of the energy system, the creation of alternative grain routes and the protection of the Black Sea trade.
Brinka also emphasized supporting Ukraine's reforms to EU membership, as well as facilitating an investment climate for US business.
"Ukraine has rightly gained a reputation of a courageous nation belonging to Europe, a sovereign partner, strong, strong and innovative. But the work is not yet over," the diplomat said.
In conclusion, she thanked her team and all partners in Ukraine:
"I want to thank all my friends and partners with whom I have worked with for the last three years, as well as my incredible team at the US Embassy in Kiev."
