Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, responsible for digital development, digital transformation and digitization, Vitaly Lavrov, took part in the presentation of Ukraine's new action plan as part of the "Open Government Partnership" initiative. During the event, he presented the concept of the "E-youth" project and invited international partners to participate in its development.
Vitaly Lavrov emphasized the importance of youth as the future of any state and expressed his belief that convenient access to information and opportunities will help them realize their potential. The "E-youth" project aims to become a tool for revealing the potential of young people, providing complete and up-to-date information about opportunities for young people in Ukraine, accessible and understandable to everyone.
"Our goal is to collect all relevant information about opportunities and services for young people in one place. From education and employment to volunteering and culture - we want every young Ukrainian to have access to information and opportunities," Vitaliy Lavrov emphasized.
The "E-youth" project will include:
- A single database for/about young people, containing information about their needs and achievements.
- Digital participatory tools for civic activism.
- Current educational programs and services.
- Data on youth centers, organizations and specialists.
- Electronic competitions of youth projects.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and is launched as part of a partnership with IREX, which is part of the USAID "Dream and Act" program.
