Ukrainians began to receive letters from the tax service demanding to personally appear to the territorial departments of the STS to provide explanations for systematic business activities using the NOVAPAY payment service. It is about the sale of goods on the Internet with acceptance of funds for personal bank cards.
The tax service has intensified control over online sets, especially those who use digital platforms, including OLX. At the same time, one -time or accidental sale of used things several times a year does not cause claims, but systematic activities with acceptance of payments are regarded as an unregistered business.
In letters of May 8, in particular in Chernivtsi region, taxpayers demand to appear for the drafting and signing of the protocol on an administrative offense related to violation of the order of conducting economic activity through the use of services of Novapay.
Tax emphasizes that business activity should be officially registered in the following cases: systematic sale of new products or products of their own production, acceptance of orders through social networks and messengers, mass sales, as well as the use of payment services for payments with clients.
If a person has made three or more online sales, he or she is obliged to open an individual entrepreneur (FOP) for regular payment of taxes or declare income in annual tax reporting, paying 18% of the personal income tax (PIT) and 5% of the military levy.
Ignoring tax requirements can lead to administrative liability, which is clearly stated in the letters received. Thus, government bodies strengthen control over business on the Internet and remind about the need for official registration of economic activity.
