PSG is ready to sell Safonov to sign Ukrainian defender Zabarny

French football club PSG is interested in signing Ukrainian defender Ilya Zabarny from English Bournemouth. However, this transfer may be complicated by the presence of Russian goalkeeper Matvei Safonov in the Paris team. Zabarny refused the transfer due to the presence of Safonov in the team.

As journalist Loic Tanzi noted on the air of the 100% PSG podcast, the Ukrainian football player expressed his concern about the fact that there is a Russian in PSG. He explained that he could not join the team if Safonov stayed, as it could lead to tension in the team due to the political situation.

"Zabarny is a great player, but he is Ukrainian, and PSG has a Russian. He said: "If Safonov is in the team, I will not be able to transfer," Le10sport quotes Tanzi.

It is noted that PSG, despite Zabarny's refusal, does not give up the idea of signing the Ukrainian and is ready to take extreme measures to strengthen the squad. The club even raised the question of the possible sale of Safonov in order to complete the deal with Zabarny.

"PSG even raised the issue of selling Safonov in order to sign Zabarny," adds Tanzi.
