Polish carriers plan to expand the blockade of the fourth border at the border of Poland and Ukraine "Doctor"-"Shehini", moving from a limited schedule of blocking in the daytime to the 24-hour regime. The information about this was published by a spokesman for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SPSU) Andriy Demchenko during a telecommunication.
The blockade of trucks is ongoing over time and covers four main areas: "Yagodin-Dorogusk", "Krakivtsi-Korchova", "Rava-Ruska-Grebenne" and "Shehyni-Medika". Demchenko stressed that these areas allowed to cross the border with trucks weighing more than 7.5 tons.
"As of the morning, according to the Polish border guards, there were about 3.5 thousand freight vehicles in the territory of Poland in lines in the territory of Poland in the territory of Poland, most opposite the Shegin's checkpoint," Demchenko said.
He stressed that since November 27 the blockade at Shegin's checkpoint will be 24 hours. During the Telelorphone, it was noted that the Polish carriers were expanding the volume of blockade, the non -monitor to oppose Polish entrepreneurs who opposed such measures and called on the authorities to take the necessary measures to resolve the situation.
In the period of blocking the Polish border, where the queues are huge and reach 40 kilometers, some trucks tried to bypass the blockade, heading for borders with other countries, such as Slovakia and Hungary. At the border with Slovakia, the blockade was already canceled, but in the morning at the Tisza checkpoint up to 600 trucks was expected to cross the border.
It was reported that the reason for the protests of Polish carriers is the dissatisfaction with new rules and requirements, in particular, the return of mandatory permits for Ukrainian transport companies and other aspects of transportation. Currently, possible ways to resolve the crisis, as well as the possible consequences for Ukraine and the European Union, are being considered.
