Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared his readiness to meet with US President Donald Trump, stressed that only "political will" was needed for this. This was reported by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov during a briefing on Friday, January 10.
"Putin has repeatedly stated his openness to contacts with international leaders, in particular with US President Donald Trump. No conditions are required," Peskov said.
According to the Kremlin representative, the meeting depends solely on "mutual desire and political will to conduct a dialogue."
Peskov stressed that there are no specific arrangements or planned dates for the meeting. At the same time, the Kremlin suggests that the activation of contacts is possible after Trump's return to the White House.
"We hope that there will be some movements in this direction as soon as Trump has officially started fulfilling his duties," Peskov added.
