Ukraine continues to remain on the forefront of Russian aggression, and the report of the Institute for War Study (ISW) indicates that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not abandoned its ambitions on occupation and expanding influence in Ukraine.
Even with current failures of the Russian occupation army, ISW notes that Putin not only wants to keep the already occupied territories, but also expand the occupation area. The report notes that there are signals that indicate that the Russian leader has not abandoned its aggressive plans.
"Ukrainian officials continue to insist - Russia has not abandoned its maximalist goals for war against Ukraine. As before, the Kremlin also seeks to seize new territories of Ukraine," - said ISW analysts.
These conclusions contrast with some statements by Western leaders who claim that Russia has already lost the war in Ukraine. The recent statements of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken have been aimed at supporting Ukraine, but ISW emphasizes that Putin's dictator remains unmigmed and does not change his strategic goals.
Note that Putin can simply postpone his plans for the next year in case of failure in this, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitsky expressed a similar point of view from ISW. He noted that "the current failure of Russian operations in Ukraine is still not final."
Noting this, ISW warns that Western politicians' statements can be aimed at justifying a possible reduction in the event of Ukraine. Together, analysts emphasize the importance of continuing Ukraine's support in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity.
In the light of these events, Ukraine continues to focus on its safety and readiness to respond to any threats. Cooperation with international allies continues to support their aspirations for freedom and independence.
