The West has introduced more than 28,000 sanctions against Russia. This was stated by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin at the congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, Interfax reports on Tuesday, March 18.
"It seems that the initiators themselves have lost how many restrictions have been introduced against someone, but the Ministry of Finance has counted. I can confidently tell you - 28 thousand 595 sanctions on individuals and legal entities. This is more than all sanctions on all countries against which the restrictions were imposed.
According to him, sanctions against Russia are strategic and systemic, and even if they are partially weakened, the event will find other ways to "press" on the country. Putin warned the Russians that they should not count on full freedom of trade, payments and capital flow in the future.
"Even if there is a gesture from the other side that something is supposed to be removed, weaken, we can expect that there will be another way to expose, insert some sticks into the wheels ... Obviously, and more than once he said about it, as it was - it will be gone," he said.
According to Putin, Russia must prepare for new challenges and adapt to restrictions that become an integral part of its economic reality. He also hinted at the need to strengthen the internal economic stability to confront the sanctions.
