On March 18, 2025, Taiwan recorded a record activity of Chinese military aircraft, which is regarded as part of Beijing's pressure on the island's independence. According to the Taiwan Ministry of Defense, Chinese military aircraft approached the island 59 times in the last day, including modern fighters and bombers.
Taiwan did not record a violation of his airspace, but the island's power considers these actions an element of military pressure from China, which does not exclude the possibility of using force to establish control of Taiwan.
In total, 43 Chinese aircraft crossed the Taiwanese Dancer line and entered the airspace area around the island from different directions. In addition, nine Chinese warships and two balloons of unknown purpose were observed, which also increases tension in the region.
China has repeatedly conducted such military maneuvers near Taiwan, which indicates a constant escalation of tension between the two countries, in the conditions where Beijing continues to declare his territorial claims on Taiwan.
