Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fitzo wrote out his first video message after the attempt on his life, which occurred in mid-May. This appeal became an important event because the public and the international community were waiting for its reaction and further steps.
According to Fitzo, the attempt was made by the "activist of the Slovak opposition", who tried to kill him "through political views."
“But the wonderful medical team prevented the worst. I am now on outpatient treatment at St. Michael's hospital in Bratislava. If everything goes well, I will be able to return to work at the turn of June and July, ” Fitzo said.
He also stated that he did not feel hatred of the man who fired him.
“It's time to take the first step - forgiveness. active lawsuits against him I forgive him and allow him to understand what he did and why he did it. In the end, it is obvious that he was only a messenger of evil and political hatred, ” Fitzo said.
In his address, the Slovak Prime Minister also spoke of Ukraine. He reported that he did not intend to change his views and will continue to oppose military assistance to Ukraine.

Fitzo was hospitalized after the attempt, he underwent two surgery.
