Russian companies are actively building new nuclear reactors, despite international sanctions

According to Financial Times, Russian companies continue to actively build nuclear reactors around the world, despite the international sanctions that are relied upon by geopolitical conflicts and aggressive foreign policy of Russia.

For example, Rosatom now builds the first nuclear power plant in Bangladesh. Russian signboards appeared in the neighboring town, and sellers studied the Russian names of their goods.

According to FT, this project intends to "tie two countries together for decades", to expand its influence, "as it has been done with other countries that do not have their own nuclear potential," and avoid world isolation.

The Russian Federation also builds NPPs in China, India, Iran and Egypt.

The construction of the NPP takes about 10 years, the reactor service life is 60 years, preparation for dismantling-another 10-20 years. In this way, countries are signed under a long -term obligation to have a Russian presence.
