Russian intelligence agencies intensify sabotage in Europe to restrict the supply of military assistance to Ukraine. According to The New York Times, US intelligence representatives and their allies have recorded an increase in low -level operations in different European countries, which they think is part of the Russian strategy for undermining Ukraine.
Such actions include arson warehouses in England, paint and varnish plant in Poland, residential buildings in Latvia and IKEA store in Lithuania. The detention of Russian agents is also reported on suspicion of planning attacks on US military bases.
According to US and European officials, these actions make part of Russia directed to slow down the transfer of weapons to Kiev and create the visibility of the opposition to support Ukraine. Officials claim that these actions are coordinated by Russian military intelligence.
Although some of these actions may seem accidental, US and European officials note that they are part of a purposeful campaign. According to them, Russia acts carefully so as not to attract too much attention to its actions.
Special services also indicate the involvement of local residents of European countries in sabotage operations, which makes the attacks more complex and gives the impression of internal opposition to Ukraine support.
Sabbathing has led to the intention of NATO Ambassadors to meet with the US National Intelligence Director to discuss the situation. Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk allowed the Russian intelligence services to be involved in the arson of the Trade Center in Warsaw.
