On the night of September 18, the Ministry of Defense of Russia reported the destruction of 54 Ukrainian drones over different regions of the country. According to the department, most drones were shot over Kursk region - 27, above Bryansk - 16, over Smolensk - seven, over Belgorod - three, and one - over the Orel region.
Russian telegram channels claim that during the knocking down of drones, one of the Russian anti-aircraft complexes, the shell-C1 could be hit by a nuclear power plant in the Smolensk. A video appeared on the network, which allegedly recorded the moment of impact of the NPP complex.
Governor of the Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin reported that seven drone -type drones allegedly attacked the Dukhivshchyna and Vyazem districts of the Smolensk region at two o'clock in the morning and at six in the morning. One of the drones fell on the carriageway in Yelny, several more were destroyed in Roslavli. Fortunately, no victims and destruction were recorded. Local emergency and law enforcement services work on the site of fall.
Subsequently, Anokhin added that two drones were neutralized by radio electronic struggle in the Dukhovshchyna and Vyazem districts.
