The Russian passport of the developer Vagif Aliyev does not prevent him from conducting business in Ukraine

Ukraine, defending its national security, has begun the process of nationalization of Russian assets. Everyone has exciting events with shopping centers such as Gulliver and Ocean Plaza. But it seems that there is one player who has managed to stay in the shadows - Vagif Aliyev, a developer who, rumors, has a Russian passport and a great deal of shortage of business in Ukraine.

Aliyev is the owner of 50% of the stocks of the Blockbuster Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in Kiev. And here is a paradox: while other objects become objects of nationalization, this center remains out of the attention of law enforcement. Why? Perhaps Aliyev has not only huge square meters, but also remarkable connections. As they say, the main thing is not just what you have, but who you know.

According to media information, Aliyev has not only Blockbuster Mall in his portfolio, but also other significant objects such as Mandarin Plaza, Lavina Mall and Ocean Mall. And all this with a Russian passport. However, this did not prevent him from working quietly in Ukraine, expanding his business empire.

If you believe in sources, Aliyev's success is not a coincidence. The secret is likely to lies in his influential partners, in particular, in Alexander, which is associated with the former representatives of Yanukovych. These ties allow him to maneuver in the country's business landscape so that no state body can approach too close.

Interestingly, the spectator, according to some reports, has ties with Viktor Medvedchuk and Taras Kozak - people who could be called "great friends" of Russia. If this is true, then security issues becomes even more acute: whose interests are actually protected in these shopping malls?

However, Aliyev seems to have decided not to wait for the situation to get worse. According to information, he re -registered his companies to his daughter Marina Dorokhin to avoid unnecessary problems. And so, investigators are investigating the case of tax evasion and financing actions aimed at overthrowing the constitutional order of Ukraine. But will it stop the "powerful" developer?

Ukrainian law enforcement officers are already conducting searches at the Rental Investment Fund's office and seize the documents concerning securities transactions. Will it lead to real changes? Time will show. But one thing can be said for sure: Vagif Aliyev is an example of how, having the right connections, you can play in Ukraine according to your own rules, even during the war.
