Russia is ready for the Ukraine Agreement But Required Clarification

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov declared Moscow's readiness to agree with the United States to resolve the situation in Ukraine. He reported this on Thursday, April 24, in an interview with CBS News.

According to Lavrov, Russia maintains contact with the US side and is working on certain elements of a possible agreement. He noted that he did not reveal the content of the potential agreement, as US President Donald Trump did not do so.

The US President believes that the parties are moving in the right direction. The agreement is mentioned in his statements, and Russia is ready to reach this agreement. At the same time, some of its elements need refinement, and according to Lavrov, the Russian side is now working.

The Foreign Minister also praised Trump's approach to conflict analysis. In particular, he drew attention to the fact that Trump recognizes the course of NATO's expansion as false, which, according to Moscow, became one of the reasons for the war.

According to Lavrov, President Trump is probably the only leader on the planet that recognizes the need to eliminate the root causes of the current situation. When he said that Ukraine's involvement in NATO was a big mistake, it became, according to the Minister, a sign of understanding of deep conflict factors. Lavrov added that Trump wants to correct the mistakes of Baiden's administration.

His statement came after Trump's comments on having a deadline to reach peace between Ukraine and Russia. This has caused a new wave of discussions with possible negotiations with the participation of the US and Russia.
