According to The Times, the Russian castle on the border of the counties of Kent and Sussex in the United Kingdom was deprived of diplomatic status because of its suspicion of using Russian military intelligence for meetings and recruiting British agents.
Sources in the security authorities report that the castle, which was originally included in the list of monuments of architecture of the II class, has now become the object of sanctions, as it was recognized as the main basis for operations of the Main Intelligence Management (GRU) in Britain. It is noted that the British intelligence services have been watching the house over the years and fixing the movements of persons whom the game considered to be potential agents, including British and other non -Russian citizens.
This base, known as Sikox-Hit Castle, according to the British authorities, was to become a spy base of Russia. UK Minister of Internal Affairs James Kleverli stressed that this base is only one of several Russian objects in the country that will lose diplomatic status.
For its part, the Russian side denies the use of the castle for the specified purposes.
