Russia has started installing a barge at the entrance to the Novorossiysk Maritime Port to protect the Black Sea Fleet.
Intelligence reports that four barges are found on the analyzed images, located near the entrance to the Black Sea Fleet object in the Novorossiysk Sea Port. These measures are designed to strengthen the port defense against possible attacks of Ukrainian surface drones without crew.
Currently, the Novorossiysk Port is important for protecting the assets of the Black Sea Fleet.
After a series of significant losses of Russian ships in the Black Sea, on March 10, the Ministry of Defense of Russia eliminated Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov from the post of commander-in-chief of the Navy and appointed the commander of North Fleet Alexander Moiseev.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, these steps indicate that Russia is trying to reduce the risks of new losses at sea.
