Russia launches a new large -scale offensive on Ukraine in the summer of 2025. The Kremlin seeks to achieve a symbolic victory that would allow Vladimir Putin to demonstrate success at the front - at least on the map.
The material states that recent weeks have been marked by record shelling of Ukrainian cities, as well as deep blows of drones on Russian strategic sites. However, journalists call it only the "prelude" to the main event - a large -scale offensive, called to break the will of Ukrainians. Analysts point out that for the first time since the beginning of the Great War, Russia demonstrates the promotion in northern Ukraine, similar to that it had in the Donbass. In particular, the creation of a buffer zone in Sumy region can be preparation for a larger offensive in the Donbas and the Zaporizhzhya direction.
The commander of the Typhoon UAV unit Mikhail Kmetiuk notes: "Russia does not spare soldiers", and this is what allows it to keep the pace - losing 8 out of 10 fighters, the Kremlin still continues to mobilize 10-15 thousand people on a monthly basis. In contrast, Ukrainian mobilization is based mainly on coercion, while the Russian Federation actively stimulates the call financially.
Putin will simply use any, even a slight advancement on the map as a "proof" of the success of the war.
